When it’s dark and I look down from my second-story windows I’m always enchanted by the little garden lights along my flower beds. The glow they create softens the darkness and makes for a lovely view. I have them in a couple of places in the yard and seeing their soft illumination at night is always a pleasure. Not only that, they were the simplest and least labor-intensive of any garden improvement I’ve ever made.
The lights are commonly found in garden stores, home improvement stores and multi-purpose stores like Costco. They are not expensive and last for many years. The lights can be assembled in a few minutes without tools. They are lightweight and easy to handle. With their solar powered rechargeable batteries they cost nothing to operate. They add a new dimension to the garden when seen from inside the house and they’re a lovely addition to dinner outside when they magically appear as it begins to get dark.
